Scion planning a tC successor called tD

The Toyota marquee Scion has about reached the end from its many and assorted Release Series editions of the tC, the oldest front-drive coupe in its lineup. There is however a press conference scheduled for the New York International Auto Show. The justification for this press meeting according to an interview with Jack Hollis, Scion vice president, is that there could be an upcoming replacement for the tC in a matter of two years. It has been reported that Toyota has already trademarked the tD moniker, which is just natural. Doing the math, there is likelihood that a new Scion coupe will make an appearance soon, either in concept or production form.
