Visitors at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010 will be able to view Seat's display of the Ibiza ST, a model that will be based on the IBZ Concept revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show last September. Soon after the Ibiza ST is shown to the public, sales will begin. Pricing and full specs will be released near to that date. We already knew about the IBZ concept making it to production in 2010 but as to how which features from the concept will make its way to the production car is still unknown.
In a release, Seat said that in celebration of the Ibiza's 25th anniversary, the newest addition to the range emphasizes the car's segment-leading quality, design and workmanship. At the same time, Seat will also introduce the new 1.2-liter TSI engine, which is already available on some models released by Volkswagen Group, with maximum output going to 105 horsepower. Just to jog your memory of the concept's appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show, it had a new center grille, with honeycomb slats and aluminum surround, as well as rectangular air vents similar to those seen on the Ibiza Cupra. It had low profile 235/35 tires and five double-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels, with an embossed S on the center.
