2011 Seat Leon FR+

A new Leon FR+ derivative from SEAT’s British division has been presented to the UK market. SEAT had also revealed the extension of the FR badge to a wider engine range. In particular, the FR hot hatch is now offered as a 1.4 TSI 125 PS (manual only) or 2.0 TDI CR 140 PS (manual and DSG). The Leon has been fitted with FR front and rear bumpers, trademark silver-painted door mirrors, twin chrome exhaust pipe, tasteful LED rear-light clusters, FR sports seats and steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights and auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

The new Leon FR+ can be ordered with any of the following: the 2.0 TSI 211 PS and 2.0 TDI CR 170 PS engines. The FR+, which is built on the FR trim, adds a set of 18-inch ‘Ibera’ alloy wheels; the SEAT Media System 2.2 that features satellite-navigation with five-inch color touchscreen and dynamic route guidance, Bluetooth audio streaming and SD card slot, DAB radio Bluetooth phone connection, front parking sensors, and Bi-xenon headlights with AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System).

When taken separately, the extra equipment costs £2,465 RRP. The price of the new Leon FR+ is higher by only £1,070 RRP. In addition, SEAT’s Leon FR line-up is currently priced at just £18,205 RRP for the Leon FR 1.4 TSI 125 PS. The price rises to £22,615 RRP for the Leon FR+ 2.0 TDI CR DSG-auto 170 PS.
