The five times World Rally (WRC) champion Loeb kept his calm in spite of the fierce demands from fellow finalist, Britain's David Coulthard, to turn out to be the champion of champions. The special, yearly affair play the world's best motorsport stars against each other on the same machines on a close-quartered and tortuous, temporary tarmac track built on top of Wembley's well-known pitch. With a best-of-three set-up for the final, Frenchman Loeb garnered the credit in the first race to put the pressure on the recently retired F1 driver. Coulthard reacted in stunning manner, providing the enormous British multitude hope of a home victory by winning the second heat, driving the KTM X-Bow. With the stage ready for an exhilarating ending, the two driving legends transformed the famed football stadium into an adrenalin-fuelled arena; slipping and sliding the purpose-built ROC Cars to a totally exciting finish with Loeb taking the lead by just 0.3 seconds. "For sure, when you are on the start line, you want to win, but with this event there is not too much pressure. It's a very tight track and you have to give everything you can. I didn't get as much experience as some of the others, as I only did one ROC Nations Cup race, but it was a good weekend for me," Loeb said.
