SEMA has released its updated 50-state guide to assist street-rod, custom-kit and replica-car owners in registering them. The last time that SEMA came out with a guide was five years ago. SEMA's updated database is known as the Tag and Title Toolbox. It features the administrative forms and proper terms required when working with each state's motor-vehicle department. The paperwork for each state is compiled and organized, and for quick reference, the hobby-related words are highlighted.
SEMA vice president of government affairs Steve McDonald stated in a news release that the aid model legislation, which has been adopted by 21 states, was created from the research and information from the program.
SEMA has the information on the latest automotive regulations on both state and federal levels as well as registration information. SEMA also clarified that since information and laws change, it wants to assure that all of the information on this guide is up to date as of Dec. 31, 2010.
