SEMA Show evolves to offer more imports, bigger scope

As the years pass, the size and scope of the annual SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas just get bigger. SEMA had once been known as the Speed Equipment Manufacturers Association. Visitors should expect to be exhausted as there are miles of exhibitor space. This year, a special day was held for automobile retailers to provide tips and case studies on accessorizing a new-car dealership's profit center. The dealership needs to have a professional who would know which products will boost the appeal of the new-car inventory for the most number of buyers.
There’s no sense in accessorizing a vehicle that appeals to few customers as it will not sell and it won't hold its resale value. But at SEMA, there were a lot of ideas to help dealerships maximize its new-car profit. In the past, the SEMA show displayed domestic vehicles, cars and trucks with big V-8 engines, as well as equipment for hot rods.
But in the recent SEMA shows, there are more exhibitors at SEMA with products for imports. Still, SEMA has something for everyone, but you must definitely know what and when to buy, because dealers may need more experience. [via autonews - sub. required]
