The specially modified show vehicle, the 2009 Toyota Venza by Five Axis will demonstrate its versatility on its first public appearance at the 2008 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show from November 4 to 7 in Las Vegas.
Created to demonstrate the versatile applications of the new 2009 Toyota Venza with a focus on active sports is the Five Axis Venza Active Sports Versatility (AS V).
The 2009 Venza is equipped with features that meet the special requirements for the transport and storage of different kinds of winter sports equipment.
An Integrated Cargo Carrier (ICC) stow away rack system made by Magna Car Top Systems is housed in the back of the Venza. The ICC provides a special utility system that offers capabilities for transporting dry and wet goods such as skis and bicycles.
The ICC system is accompanied by a multi-function rear cargo unit by Five Axis that permit storage of many kinds of items. This concealed design provides both isolation and safety from heavier cargoes that can simply be kept on top of the unit.
The system further protects the interior through its isolated storage spaces for messy items. New front and rear bumpers and over-fenders for a more robust appearance are some of the exterior improvements integrated in the ASV.
To complement the new look of the Venza AS V, it comes with wider 20 x 10.5-inch wheels and larger diameter tires. An emphasis on winter sports was chosen to better demonstrate the Venza's active sports theme.
The ICC unit by Magna Car Top Systems comes equipped with a special snowboard and ski carrier. To display its towing capabilities, the Venza AS V will be joined to a trailer with a mounted snowmobile at the upcoming SEMA show. Lastly, a custom-blended earth tone color palette with accents of Lunar White and Bronze by Five Axis finish off the exterior in keeping with the current trends in winter styles.
