Hyundai and DUB Magazine teamed up once again, for this year’s SEMA Show, and created a customized version of the Equus flagship sedan. As you can see from the photo, the new car comes with a new paint scheme, a redesigned front bumper with integrated daytime running LEDs, new front grille inspired by Rolls-Royce dubbed Trex DUB Design mesh grille, as well as a new set of black wheels.
Furthermore, the car features a custom two-tone, gloss black-and-matte charcoal paint job. The design is completed by the 24-inch TIS modular style 10 wheels wrapped in Pirelli Pzero Nero tires.
As expected, inside we find a world-class Lexicon audio system that comes from the factory, but the most interesting part will be found in the trunk, where DUB will install Infiniti Kappa components including nine Infiniti Kappa Series speakers, KAPPA ONE mono and KAPPA FOUR four-channel amplifiers.
In addition, the interior of the car will feature DUB Design custom leather and suede, a DUB Design illuminated headliner and custom rear bucket seats.
SEMA has always been about bespoke versions of production vehicles. DUB Publishing Inc. is one of the parties that produce custom vehicles for exhibit in the annual bespoke show, and one of its offerings during the 2010 show was a bespoke Hyundai Equus.
DUB Magazine’s Myles Kovacs explained that, with the Equus Dub edition, they aimed to demonstrate how car owners could turn a luxury vehicle into a bespoke version. DUB Magazine has always been at the vanguard of the automotive publication industry.
As a leading name in the scene, DUB Magazine initially focused its content on covering vehicles owned by big names in Hollywood. Along the way, it slowly expanded to turn its attention to the rapidly growing industry of car customization.
It eventually pioneered innovative actions that led to the development of after-market automotive parts intended to help car owners customize their own vehicles. Such parts are sold in the “DUB Market.” The magazine also sponsors the DUB Show Tour of custom automobiles, and provides information on upcoming customization trends via its bespoke consumer brands.
