After it experienced in its inaugural season of racing in the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Kia revealed at the 2010 SEMA Show the Forte Koup Type R Concept.
As expected, the new car previews the performance possibilities Kia's first two-door coupe provides. You can easily see from the pictures that the Type R comes with dramatically enhanced exterior panels that enlarge the existing body lines, new rocker panels as well as rear quarter panels.
The design of the car is completed by the new set of BBS RG 18-inch forged aluminum alloy wheel wrapped in racing-inspired tires.
Furthermore, the new suspension components lower the car and improve the handling. Inside, the Kia Forte Koup Type R cines with custom seat/door treatments and safety restraints that reflect its sporty nature.
The new Kinetic gear shift knob and carbon inlay complements the dampened composite fiber disc clutch to enhance the driving experience.
"Customization makes up the fabric of the SEMA Show and Kia's design-led brand transformation has paved the way for us to showcase clever, design-inspired vehicles that are production capable," said Michael Sprague, vice president of marketing & communications, KMA.
