As you may know already, the new Chevrolet Camaro is considered a major hit among consumers due to its blend of desirable power, efficiency and design. Still, some of these consumers want to improve the looks of their Camaro in order to make it unique and now they have the chance, as Chevrolet revealed today at the 2010 SEMA Show the XM/Accessory Appearance Package.
This new package promises to provide new accessory and appearance options customized for the popular and affordable Camaro 1LT model. A production version of this package will be available in the spring of 2011.
As you can see from the photos, the XM Accessory Appearance Package is based on the Camaro 1LT model fitted with the standard 3.6-liter direct injection V6 engine delivering 312 hp and rated by EPA on the highway at 29 miles per gallon.
The package includes a new rear spoiler, unique grille and Chevrolet Accessory 21-inch wheels. The production version of the package will also include a one-year subscription to XM Satellite Radio.
Russ Clark, the director for Chevrolet product marketing, revealed that the purpose of the XM Accessory Appearance Package is to have “affordable style.”
The goal, Clark added, was to have a customized model that would include 21-inch wheels for $30,000. This is considered as the standard price many Camaro buyers prefer before any accessories are added.
