Roush Performance Products is working hard to finish its customized 2012 Ford Focus as the vehicle will be displayed at the 2011 SEMA Show, taking place on November 1-4 in Las Vegas. As expected, Roush took things to extreme and created a new body kit for the car and also brought some improvements to the engine.
As a result, the 2012 Ford Focus comes with a new front bumper with bigger air inlets, new grille, a new front hood, chin splitter, new side sills and custom graphics.
Sherwin-Williams custom matte paint and Ford Genuine Accessories roof spoiler also help it stand apart from the crowd. The design is completed by the new alloy wheels painted in black.
Under the hood we find a new ROUSH R900 TVS supercharger, ROUSH modified high-flow induction system and ROUSH dual-exit high- performance exhaust.
Still, the tuner didn’t reveal any numbers, but we expect the engine to deliver over 200 hp (standard 2.0-liter Ti-VCT GDI I-4 engine delivers 160 hp @ 6500 rpm and 140 lb. ft. of torque @ 4450 rpm). P.S. You should also check the 2012 Ford Focus by 3dCarbon.
All is set for the upcoming launch of the new generation Ford Focus in early 2011, following the unveiling of the car’s core three-model line-up – a five-door hatchback, a four-door sedan and a five-door wagon – at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The showcasing of these new Focus models and their full details came right before Ford commenced their production in Europe and North America in late 2010.
Since it was launched in 1998, the Focus has been Ford’s most significant nameplate, with more than 10 million units sold globally – thanks to its remarkable value and comfort as well as safety fun-to-drive character.
Developed under the ONE Ford strategy, the next-generation Ford Focus will build on the success of its predecessors and is an embodiment of how the brand has been changing. Aside from its sporty design and affordable technologies and features, the new Ford Focus also boasts top quality, outstanding fuel efficiency and takes the superior driving dynamics.
Derrick Kuzak, Ford's group vice president of Product Development, remarked that the new Focus is a true representation of the best of what Ford could offer, adding that the carmaker is excited about soon kicking off its sales.
Kuzak remarked that Ford’s investment in the new C-car platform has allowed it to offer an affordable product that exudes high levels of quality, fuel efficiency, safety and technology.
