2012 Hyundai RE:MIX Gaming Veloster is a new car designed by Rides Magazine, Antenna Magazine and Lux Motorwerks especially for this year’s SEMA Show. According to the manufacturer, the vehicle represents the passion of gaming, offering a 40-inch Samsung LED 3D TV, an Xbox360 Custom Colored by Colorware, four customs controllers, an Xbox360 controller charging base, a video game holder, the Kinetic Motion Sensor, a JL audio hd amplifier and Evolution speakers, new green LED lightning and two 7-inch monitors molded in the rear seat back.
Regarding the exterior design, we find a BASF Envy Green paint, a new body kit featuring a custom front lip, side skirts and rear bumper with integrated air diffuser and a three-pipe exhaust system inspired by the Ferrari 458 Italia.
The interior features black vinyl, carbon fiber and suede seats, dash and door panels, a new set of Sparco Road Chrono racing seats, a new green stitched steering wheel, black suede headliner and Envy Green panted trim pieces.
The design is completed by the 19-inch Monotec T10 Forged wheels wrapped in high performance Kumho tires and by the Envy Green brake calipers.
New Hyundai Veloster three-door coupe finally made its appearance on the world stage with its unveiling at the 2011 North American International Auto Show. Now available with a new 1.6-liter direct-injected four-cylinder engine paired to the carmaker’s first dual-clutch transmission, the Hyundai Veloster for the 2012 model year comes with a distinct third door that allows easy ingress and egress into the rear compartment.
In addition, the new Veloster is provided with Hyundai's Blue Link telematics system and Pandora internet radio with seven-inch touch-screen display. At first glance, it is easy to tell that the new Veloster is inspired – in terms of design – by a high-performance sport bike.
For instance, the glass of the new Veloster looks similar to a motorcycle helmet visor thanks to its distinctive black A-pillars. Its front end is distinguished by a more aggressive version of the brand’s hallmark hexagonal front grille as flanked by distinct Hyundai-signature LED position lights as well as hood scoop detailing. Offered as options are a chrome grille surround, fog lights, and a huge panoramic sunroof as well as piano black highlights.
Meanwhile, Hyundai’s "Fluidic Sculpture" character lines mark the profile of the new Veloster, as complemented by muscular wheel arches, wraparound headlights and taillights as well as body-colored door handles and mirrors. As standard, 17-inch alloy wheels are provided, although two types of 18-inch wheels are available. The higher version of these wheels features painted inserts.
Its posterior end, meanwhile, is marked by dual centered chrome exhaust tips and a distinctive glass hatch, as well as black lower fascia. On the other hand, the interior of the Veloster expresses links to high-performance sport bike. For instance, the center stack and controls look similar to the fuel tank of a sport bike and even feature an available push-button starter.
In addition, the floor console looks similar to a bike seat while its air vents take inspiration from motorcycle tailpipes. The interior also features an array of metallic accents. Hyundai also offers a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob as well as alloy pedals.
