2012 Fiat 500 Sport is now more stylish courtesy of the Mopar Underground Team, which designed the Fiat 500 Carbon image vehicle to feature Anodized Azzurro (blue) paint and unique blackened exterior and interior features. The team aimed to intensify the hatchback’s athletic Italian styling, craftsmanship, and agile handling.
500 Carbon improves on Fiat 500 Sport’s front fascia and makes use of satin carbon fiber fog-lamp bezels and chin spoiler. To appear more aggressive, its signature ‘whiskers and logo’ face and circular projector headlamps have been given a Dark Hyper Black lacquer.
It is fitted with bigger 17–inch-by-7-inch Dark Hyper Black aluminum wheels wrapped with wider 205/40 R 17 performance tires. It also features exterior door handles that go with satin carbon fiber mirror caps and tinted glass on the side profile. It offers greater cornering and performance with the use of custom Mopar lowering springs, strut-tower brace and cold-air intake. Aerodynamic efficiency is better with the use of a more aggressive satin carbon fiber liftgate spoiler.
This also adds down force to have better handling. It produces an aggressive sound from its powder-coated carbon fiber exhaust tip with Mopar cat-back exhaust.
In addition, it has been installed with satin carbon fiber rear fascia bezels and valance. The Fiat 500 Carbon also features a Dark Hyper Black license plate brow and tail lamp bezels. The blacked-out appearance is evident in its interior too. It has Anodized Azzurro accents as well. To appear more contemporary, it has black leather sport seats that have embossed fabric with a textured geometric pattern in the seat centers.
The color of the Azzurro accent piping on the seats, accent stitching on the sport-steering wheel and binding on the floor mats are a match to the Anodized Azzurro instrument panel bezel. Fiat has created easier access to the owner’s electronic gadgets. The passenger cabin now consists of a battery charger, an iPod socket and the 2nd gen Blue&Me plugin technology. Fiat’s customizable concept is also now being offered to a wider consumer base. Fiat Group Financial Services introduces a new payment scheme called “50-500” and the “500 Cents”. The plan consists of 2-year payment terms with only a 50% outright purchase or no down payment for only 5 cents a day.
Customers who availed any of these payment terms get a five-year warranty (or first 500,000km) as well as Fiat’s 24/7 roadside services. Clients will also be given the option between refundable vehicle transportation fares and FREE pickup service during periodic maintenance.
The company has laid out these offers to better reach out to its consumers. After all, Fiat 500 is a “people car” and everyone should at least have all of these opportunities. Fiat considers the new plugin model as a starting point to attain the company’s new objectives. The customizable concept brings better value because it allows the owners to express unique qualities towards the brand.
