Article by Christian Andrei, on October 21, 2014

Hyundai announced that it joined forces with Chicago-based design and customization company Toca Marketing and will unveil a special 2015 Genesis at the 2014 SEMA Show. The vehicle is dubbed ‘Steel Phoenix’ and is powered by the Tay 5.0-liter V8 engine that received a Garrett twin turbo setup as well as an ARK Performance catback exhaust system in order to deliver a staggering 600 hp.

In addition, the vehicle receives a new AirRex digital air suspension system and 21-inch COR 3-piece wheels wrapped in ultra-high performance Toyo tyres. Behind the wheels, there are custom 8-piston front and 6-piston rear brake set developed by Neo Motorsport.

When it comes to exterior design, the Steel Pheonix received a new wide body kit that includes new front fenders with air vents, a wide rear quarter panel, side sills, molded front and rear bumpers and an ARK Performance rear carbon air diffuser.

Furthermore, the vehicle received a custom blend of BASF R-M products that gives it a steel, metallic appearance. Inside, we find custom carbon fiber trim panels, brushed aluminum interior trim, seats wrapped in leather with contrasting white stitching as well as a Rockford Fosgate sound system.
