In addition, the vehicle was heavily modified and comes with large off-road tires, a new suspension, new LED lights for better visibility as well as a new special finish.
According to the short press release, the development of the vehicle involved industry leaders such as Addictive Desert Designs, Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels, FOX Racing Shox, KC Hilites, Mastercraft Safety, Rockford Fosgate, Full-Race Motorsports, Leading Edge Tuning, ProEFI and SCT Performance.
“This F-150 should inspire the vast off-road, extreme-lifestyle-loving fan base to push the possibilities of the kick-ass new 2015 F-150 and the awesome 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine,” said Brian Deegan.
Ford F-150 has long been considered as one of America’s best-selling pickup line. For its latest offering, Ford Motor Company is presenting to the leaders of tomorrow and agricultural professionals alike the 2013 F-150. Under the newest version, the F-150 comes with a new design for the front-end with advanced technologies fitted inside like the MyFord Touch that allows for driver controls to be voice-activated.
Offered as well are the high-intensity discharge headlamps. Regarding the design, the front end has bold new grilles and when combined with the new design, they make the F-150 immediately distinguishable with cues emphasized by the XLT model. Meanwhile the HID projector headlamps, which are deemed as a first in its segment, were fitted to help enhance visibility while at the same time improve driver confidence.
In addition, as the company intends to move forward when it comes to innovative technologies and evolved design, the 2013 F-150 may well be the most capable and most fuel-efficient light-duty pickup. This expansive range is enhanced further by making available a Limited luxury model.
The company is offering as well Hill Descent Control and an electronic-locking axle for the rear. There is also the 6.2-liter V8 engine and the revolutionary EcoBoost engine. Ford president of The Americas Mark Fields revealed that much like its customers, who are a hardworking group, the company remains committed to doing the job perfectly especially when it comes to industry-leading trucks.
Through the 2013 F-150, he added, the company is showing that it is indeed committed to enhancing its models by putting in new capabilities and features, which in turn ensure that owners are guaranteed to be productive. Doug Scott, who is Ford Truck group marketing manager as well as a board member of FFA sponsor, shared that a large number of F-Series customers belong to farm families.
These customers like to multi-task, he continued, as for them a Ford pickup can mean economic livelihood and family transportation. This is also about reliability and capability, he added. Scott said further that similar to the FFA, pickups made by Ford have become part of the agricultural tradition and the company is more than happy to collaborate with the FFA to come out with new F-150 models.
