Nissan will make an explosive appearance at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. The carmaker is set to debut a trio of 2016 Nissan TITAN XD units and the 2016 GT-R NISMO N-Attack Package for the GT-R Nismo.
The three Titan XD 2016 models include a bespoke model that was designed by Nissan in cooperation with SEMA itself. The collaboration resulted from a “measuring session” that SEMA and Nissan undertook early this year, and involved a PRO-4X model that was later on modified by SEMA.
Nissan had the truck conveyed to SEMA’s main base in Diamond Bar, California in September, and it was since customized extensively by the Association. Unlike the other two models, this bespoke model will take a place in the show’s Grand Lobby.
The other two will be exhibited in Nissan’s own booth for SEMA. One of the trucks will showcase key components from Nissan’s new accessory range.
The customized Genuine Nissan Official Accessories TITAN XD Platinum Reserve unit will also exhibit its trailing capabilities as it will be hooked up to a trailer housing a second TITAN XD. The second unit has been customized by Cummins.
This particular TITAN XD will be unveiled through a press conference on the 3rd of November. The NISMO N-Attack Package for the NISMO GT-R is composed of a set of parts that promises an exceptional time-attack performance for the race car.
Parts resulted from a development project in which the Nissan GT-R NISMO broke lap-time records. The project, which was conducted in Nürburgring in Germany, demonstrated the NISMO’s capabilities as the fastest volume production vehicle.
The entire package was created by the Nissan Motorsports International Co. Ltd. in partnership with Steve Millen Sportsparts Inc., which is the sole installer and sales agent authorized to sell the N-Attack Package in the United States.
In addition to the bespoke package, Nissan Motorsports will also put on display other components and parts intended for the NISMO that have been manufactured both in the US and Japan. Top executives from the Japanese car maker are expected to make an appearance during the event as well.
One of these is Hiroshi Tamura, who will be joined by the people who make up the development team of the TITAN truck. Tamura serves as the chief product specialist for Nissan’s GT-R, Z and NISMO product lines.
