Shadow Sports Design upgrades the Nissan GT-R

Nissan GT-R by Shadow Sports DesignAs the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon coming up over the horizon, Japanese tuning companies are emerging out of the woodwork with a horde of bespoked Nissan GT-Rs. Presently, the most current Japanese tuner to fiddle with the potent GT-R is Shadow Sports Design, a firm being led by Masami Kageyama, an ex-Nissan racing driver.

Despite the fact that the complete list of revisions has yet to be unveiled, Shadow Sports has made available some pictures of a bespoke GT-R that it intends to reveal at the forthcoming event in Tokyo. Its surface in white, the Shadow Sports Design GT-R highlights several aerodynamic alterations intended to enhance handling and downforce. At the front end of the vehicle are featured a fresh carbon-fiber front spoiler, with incorporated ducts to aid in cooling the disc brakes. Present also is a big carbon-fiber wing at the back for extra downforce and enhanced handling, even though the already impressive cornering ability of Nissan GT-R will be quite difficult to equal. More details and photos after the jump!

In addition, Shadow Sports Design has created a set of bespoke forged magnesium GT-R rims in partnership with Enkei, the distinguished aftermarket wheels company. The weight of the wheels at the front is just 9.85kg, while the bigger wheels at the back come in at a very light 10.6kg, providing an overall 3.65kg weight savings in contrast to the regular GT-R. This most current tuned GT-R links with other Japanese-tuned versions of the GT-R, like those from Branew and Zele. Even though those vehicles highlighted both aerodynamic and performance revisions, presently it looks like that the GT-R of Shadow Sports will not be receiving performance alterations, but by next week complete detail of the vehicle will already be available.
