Shelby preparing twin-turbo GT500 package with 1000 hp and $100,000 price tag

According to the latest reports from MustangDaily, it appears that Shelby has big plans for the 2011 GT500, as the manufacturer is preparing a twin-turbo package for the popular muscle car. The new package will come with a price tag of $100,000 and will feature a twin-turbo 5.4-liter V8 engine capable to deliver an impressive 1000 hp with an adjustable boost. Furthermore, same sources confirm the fact that the new pack will offer a new Shelby/Baer 6-piston caliper front and rear brake system, a Ford Racing suspension with adjustable dampers, a new Shelby/Eibach adjustable coilover suspension, a custom exhaust, a new 10-point full roll cage which will eliminate the rear seats, a 6-speed short-throw shifter, 6-speed paddle shifter, carbon fiber front fascia splitter, mirror covers and rocker panels. A deck lid letter kit, new front and rear brake duct kit, and performance cooling package. Regarding the design, the new car will feature a new widebody, completed by the new 20-inch Shelby Alcoa wheels. Inside, the car will feature a two-tone leather interior as well as a two-tone leather console cover and perforated leather seat inserts as well as a new set of custom racing seats.
