Skoda Octavia coming without VAT in December

To attract customers to its showrooms for the Christmas season, Skoda U.K. has removed VAT on its latest Octavia. Until December 31 2008, the complete lineup of Skoda Octavia, including the vRS and four-wheel-drive Scout, will be offered with VAT-free price tags. "As car buyers scour the market in search of great deals we are responding to their needs and covering the cost of VAT on any Octavia purchased in December," Rob Hazlewood, Skoda UK's brand director, commented. VAT removal will also cover options and delivery prices, so a £3000 savings will be possible on new top of the line Octavias. Since the present Octavia was introduced in 2004, Skoda has sold in the UK 140,000 models.
