To celebrate 110 years of racing achievements, Skoda is releasing a special edition of the Fabia vRS, named the IRC Skoda Fabia S2000 vRS Edition. A press release at the launch of the new model states that Skoda Auto has “long-standing and significant presence in motorsport.” Recently, Skoda had won the International Rally Championship (IRC) with its Fabia S2000. When developing a car, Skoda Auto draws on its motorsport expertise. Sporty drivers tend to like the vRS versions of the Octavia and Fabia. The limited edition of the Fabia vRS makes use of numerous design cues from its rallying cousin, which features the same strong green color, as well as many white stripes on the roof, alloy wheels and stickers.

It will have a limited run of only 200 samples to be built. Skoda said that this car will have Rally Green paint, a white roof, white alloy wheels and stickers in S2000 colors. The car’s performance is unchanged. It is powered by the 1.4 TSI with 180 hp (132 kW) that’s featured on the standard vRS Fabia.

The car is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 7.3 seconds, and it can hit a maximum speed of 224 km/h (139 mph). The vRS is fitted with the DSG double-clutch gearbox as well as the XDS system that fight understeer by electronically braking the inside front wheel as the car corners in order.
