Skoda VisionD Concept: new photos released

Skoda VisionD Concept

Skoda has released a new set of images for the Skoda VisionD Concept car, which debuted in March 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show. These newest images emphasize the design cues on the mid-size fastback that will be used on all future Skoda cars. It features crisp lines and a new grille that Josef Kaban, Skoda’s chief designer, referred to as “proud, confident, but not arrogant.”

The production cars will be getting a number of cues such as headlight/foglight locations that look like a four-leaf clover and rear lights that have the appearance of a “bohemian crystal.” It also offers greater interior space due to its long wheelbase design with short overhangs.

The futuristic interior elements include clear glass on the centre console and a drop in the amount of switchgear as well as the dials, seats and steering wheel. Meanwhile, majority of the interior controls are carried out by a small touchpad that faces the driver and is set on the edge of the centre console.
