Smart fans announce world’s largest gathering in Riccione

The biggest gathering of smart fans in the world is to be held in Riccione, Italy, from August 4 to 7 this year. The event has been celebrated for ten years in Austria. For this year, the smart community in Europe will converge in the seaside resort of Riccione on the Adriatic coast. From this year onwards, the venues for the smart times will be held in a different country each year in order to enhance the image of the gathering for the smart family, the head of smart, Dr. Annette Winkler, stated.
This reflects the continuously increasing importance of the event for the smart brand. For ten years, smart times has grown from a small gathering to a large Europe-wide event. At least 4,000 smart enthusiasts from 22 countries, some with personalized vehicles, are expected in Riccione where they connect with industry experts, tuners and designers, as well as celebrate their passion for smart cars altogether.
In Riccione, participants celebrate in a private beach with a stage and a wide range of activities like sports and entertainment that focus on the smart for two. The event will also have a very special highlight, which is the "smart meets Museo Ferrari" excursion to Maranello.
