Sportec presents 858 bhp SPR1 T80

Sportec SPR1 T80 - Porsche 911SPORTEC has announced the latest addition to its 997 range of supercars, the T80. The Swiss tuner, famous for its ultra high performance SPR1 range, planned and constructed the new version in Switzerland. Built a step above, the T80’s bi-turbo, 3.6-liter, 24-valve, flat six T80M engine is increased to 858 bhp. In combination with the permanent four-wheel drive feature, the T80 is a picture of poise and performance.

Each of T80’s wheels channels 214.5bhp to the tarmac, similar to having a VW Golf GTi on each tire, but at the same time the bi-turbo engine is still fully Euro IV emissions compliant. The SPORTEC SPR1 T80 is a true supercar, proven to hit 62mph or 100km/h in 3.0 seconds, and 186mph or 300km/h in 18.9 seconds. More details and photos after the jump!

Top speed was recorded at 236mph in Nardo, Italy. Highlights include titanium connecting rods, a flat carbon fiber under floor, active suspension and F1 style ceramic brake discs. In its aim to be lighter, safer, and more dynamic than other cars in its class, the SPR1 T80 uses composite (carbon or Kevlar) body panels, forged alloy wheels, an integrated safety cage and ceramic brake discs.

If you’re bent on customizing the T80, you can choose from a variety of colors and several exclusive SPORTEC styling and interior accents. In this list are lightweight 20 inch forged alloy wheels, a carbon fiber rear wing and leather/alcantara interior. The UK concession for SPORTEC is the Brackley-based Automotive Performance Services (APS). Watch out for the British debut of the SPR1 T80 on July 22-24 at Salon Privé show at London’s Hurlingham Club.
