Spyker C8 Aileron teased ahead of its Geneva debut

Spyker C8 Aileron

The possible replacement of the C8 Laviolette late this year and first introduced at the Geneva Motor Show last year is the stretched and stiffened Spyker C8 Aileron. As it promised to show a production variant of the C8 Aileron this year, Spyker has made available teaser images of its most current sports car in advance of its introduction next month at the Geneva Show. There is great certainty that the excessive concept will make it to the production model together with the Audi-derived 4.2-liter V8 which yields 400hp and 354lb-ft of torque. Options of either a Getrag 6-speed manual or ZF auto will provide power to the wheels at the rear. It will have a 3,100 lb of curb weight and an acceleration rate of 4.5 seconds from 0-60 mph and achieves a maximum speed of 187 mph. In the interior, the car sports Spyker's trademark trinkets, turned aluminum dashboard, and Kharma stereo which comes with GPS, Bluetooth and MP3 compatibility. Production will begin in May and sales begin early summer with a convertible forthcoming in 2010.
