The Spyker sports car business of Swedish Automobile (which owns Saab) may be sold off, according to CEO Victor Muller. Swedish Automobile is evaluating its options for the future, saying that talks on a potential sale of the Spyker business are ongoing. In a statement, Muller said that keeping the Spyker business under Swan and expanding it via acquisitions is an option that they’re studying. Muller made these comments after several board members resigned from its board due to a conflict over funding. Last Wednesday, Swedish Automobile released a statement to confirm that Hans Hugenholtz, Maurizio La Noce and Alex Roepers had stepped down from its supervisory board, and that Rob Schuijt has quit from the management board effective immediately. Swedish Automobile said that they decided to leave the company due to a disagreement with CEO Victor Muller about the available funding alternatives.
