Strong sales make Bentley to launch the new Continental GT in 2010

2011 Bentley Continental GT

Due to the strong sales registered, Bentley pulled ahead some vehicle launches by six months. Now, the second-generation Bentley Continental GT will make its debut in 2010, instead of 2011. Regarding the design of the new Continental GT, Autonews says that the changes will give the coupe a significantly different appearance. Bentley will sell both the old and new generations of the Continental GT into 2011, then the production of the first generation will be stopped and the vehicle discontinued.

The new Continental GT will be launched together with the new Mulsanne which was recently showcased at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Our sources also confimed a brand new Flying Spur in 2011 as well as a re-designed Continental GTC in 2012. The stylish and elegant Brooklands Coupe will be discontinued in 2010.

For those who don't know, the Brooklands production is limited to 550 cars with 170 allocated to the United States. Also the Arnage sedan will be discontinued in 2010 because it will be replaced by the Mulsanne sedan.
