Subaru set up this system to start receiving orders at noon. Servers immediately bogged down due to the traffic so it only resumed working on 12:45. It took just 20 minutes for the first sale to be recorded. What customers had to do was to build the vehicle, choose the accessories, complete the contract, and pay a deposit. Subaru announced that the website traffic had quadrupled and so buyers waited until it stabilized at 12:45. Within the first five minutes, eight orders were already being worked on.
