Subaru Impreza crossover will be called XV Crosstrek in the United States

The LA Auto Show gives everyone a hint of what vehicles will be arriving next. One of those is the Subaru XV, a crossover based on the Impreza, which debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show and is set to arrive in the U.S. with the XV Crosstrek name. Subaru’s Tom Doll confirmed these details in a presentation made at the LA event. Subaru said that it is seeking to differentiate the vehicle even further from the Impreza currently available in the U.S. The XV Crosstrek, the replacement for the Outback Sport, may arrive as a 2013 model. The US version is expected to be quite similar to the European vehicle; however, their engine lineup will be different.
