Subaru reveals ‘New EyeSight’ driving assist system

Subaru has developed a new safety device called the New EyeSight that the Japanese company claims will enhance road safety and lower the risk of collisions. This driving assist system has two forward-facing cameras mounted on either side of the rear-view mirror. New EyeSight also boasts a Pre-Collision Braking Control feature, which sounds an alarm to warn the driver of a potential collision with the vehicle in front. The system can tell if the speed difference between the driver's vehicle and that in front is below 30 km/h. If the driver takes no action, the system will slow or stop the car in order to avoid a collision or minimize damage. With the All-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control System, the driver can cruise safely on a motorway.
The Image of object detection is useful in maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle in front. When traffic is slow or when it's jammed, the automatic emergency braking function stops the car and holds it still until the vehicle in front starts to move again.
