Suzuki GB has teamed up with Sky Sports to launch a 6-week campaign that consists of a series of bespoke 30-second TV airings to be known as “The New Swift Sport Boot Camp.” Featured in this series are ‘Soccer AM’s’ Tubes and ‘Take it like a fan’s Fenners that race in two Swift Sports as they go through various football based training exercises such as a slalom race, penalty shoot outs and keepy-uppys. The first in the series would be broadcast on Jan. 28, 2012 on Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports 2 and SkyNews.
Furthermore, they also launched a Microsite with video content and a contest to win a brand new Swift Sport, premiership football tickets and an iPad2. There would be online ads on SkySports.com and the Sky Sports App. Campaigns will also be seen on the Suzuki Facebook and Twitter sites. The all new Swift Sport started selling on January 16, 2012, with a price tag of £13,499.
It is powered by a new Euro 5 1.6-litre 136hp VVT engine that provides better torque along with 10% lower combined fuel consumption figures of 44.1mpg. The exhaust emissions are currently 10% lower than the previous Swift Sport model at 147g/km and it has a top speed of 121mph. It is capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds. At the 2012 What Car?
