SV9 Competizione Corvette C6
The limited-edition SV9 Competizione, based on the Corvette C6, has just been launched. Only 1,000 units of the car, the styling of which is a cross between American muscle car and Italian supercar, will be produced. Its powertrain is assumed to still be the C6‚ 6.0-litre V8, which produces 400bhp and 400lb ft of torque. The car can supposedly go from 0-60mph in 4 seconds. The car features carbonfiber bodywork and lightweight custom forged alloy wheels to keep its weight down to 1400kg.
The car gets a full leather interior with carbonfiber trim and a sat-nav system. Dials and gauges on the dash are customizable. It's highly likely that no two of the 1,000 units will be identical since there are 25 exterior color choices, five interior trims and four wheel options.
In the US where it will go on sale later this year, the car sells at $99,995. UK fans would just have to wait until confirmation is announced that it will be sold there. Official unveiling of the car will be at the Concorso Italiano show in August.
