TAG Heuer MP4-12C Chronograph launched at Mastering Speed Exhibition

TAG Heuer MP4-12C Chronograph

At the TAG Heuer Mastering Speed Exhibition at Halle Secheron in Geneva, a limited edition chronograph watch is on display beside the McLaren MP4-12C. The TAG Heuer MP4-12C Chronograph is much awaited as 20 years have passed since McLaren launched the iconic McLaren F1 road car and it was 26 years ago that McLaren’s Formula 1 team joined forces with TAG Heuer. The TAG Heuer MP4-12C Chronograph portrays the innovative, high-performance and precision manufacturing principles of the two companies.

The partnership between McLaren and TAG Heuer dates back to 1985, making it one of the longest-running sponsorship agreements between a racing team and a brand in the history of Formula 1. These two companies are leaders in their respective fields in coming up with new technologies and design concepts. It is well-established that high-performance car buyers appreciate excellent watches and so this project is certainly well-timed as they celebrate the 26th anniversary of their partnership.

This project is also considered to be a natural step during the launch of the new MP4-12C sports car. McLaren Automotive is set to release the first in its new range of bespoke and ‘pure’ McLaren sports cars for the world in 2011. McLaren offers new performance levels based on bespoke technology, a revolutionary carbon chassis and integration with Formula 1. This is the first time that this combination has ever been presented in a road car.
