Slated to go on sale in April is the new Jaguar XJ range, with its top-of-the-line model to be priced from £53,775. The model will be sold with the 3.0 diesel in Luxury trim, the 5.0 V8 and the Supersport.

These models will be available as a long-wheelbase car. The long-wheelbase diesel is priced from £56,685, while the V8 costs from £64,355. Two Supersport models will be available — the regular car costs £87,455, while the long-wheelbase raises the price to £90,455. This is considered expensive by anybody’s standards but it’s still a lot cheaper than the long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz S-class, the 600L, which costs from £106,960. With this pricing range, the new XJR would be likely reach a price of more than £100,000, making it the most expensive Jaguar since the XJ220. Photo gallery after the jump!

At last, the 2010 Jaguar XJ was officially unveiled! Of, course, after we showed you the leaked images yesterday there is now surprise now, but let us see what this car has to offer!As you may see it from the photos, the new car shows new design lines which will extend the appeal of the XJ to a new generation of customers.

Also, this new design is accentuated by the new panoramic glass roof which enhances the feeling of light and space inside. This new vehicle will be available in standard and long wheelbase models. The long wheelbase offers and additional 125mm of legroom and 520-litre (the trunk is standard so expect this also at the normal wheelbase). More details and plenty of photos after the jump!
