2009 Essen Motor Show: Brabus B63 S breaks cover

Brabus B63 S - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMGBrabus unveiled today at the 2009 Essen Motor Show, its brand new B63 S, a new sports sedan based on the latest Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.

For those who don’t know, the ”standard” E63 AMG comes with a 6.3-liter V8 engine capable to deliver 525 hp but the German tuner wasn’t satisfied by this number and added an extra 30 hp in order to obtain a total output of 555 hp and an impressive 650 Nm (464 to 479 lb-ft) at 5,400 rpm. With these numbers, the B63 S sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds while the top speed is electronically limited to 320 km/h (200 mph). In order the transfer all the 555 hp on the road the German tuner offers a limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40 percent for the E 63 AMG. Continued after the jump!

Carlsson E-CK63 RS based on the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

Mercedes-Benz E-CK63 RS Mercedes-Benz E63 AMGThe latest project of German tuner Carlsson is the limousine E-CK63 RS, which is based on the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. As with any other Carlsson tuning packages, the focus was on both the styling and the performance.

The engineers tweaked the car to reach 585 HP, a feat that it achieved without changing the cubic capacity of 6.3 liters. Maximum torque was increased from 630 to 695 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is achieved in 4.5 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds faster than the factory model. PU-RIM technology figured largely in the car’s aerodynamic enhancements, which consist of a front skirt, extended wings, side moldings and rear skirt. Carlsson also installed a carbon diffuser on both ends of the stainless steel end pipes from the exhaust system. More details and photos after the jump!

2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMGThe latest Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, which was revealed at the New York Auto Show this year, comes with the new appearance of the E-Class but with unparalleled levels of power and performance, is about to go into production. There are no pricing details revealed for the US yet, however, reports emerging from Germany are saying that the price for the European market is 105,800 Euros . Official: 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMGPrior to its world introduction at the New York Auto Show in just a few days, the brand new 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG has already garnered a reader’s choice award for best sports car from the German publication Sport Auto. Ten days ago, Mercedes-Benz released a teaser photo for the latest E63 and today, somewhat ahead of schedule, they released the full details of the package.

Besides the new bumper, alloy wheels and large cross-drilled brake discs shown in the teaser photo, the latest image released exhibits the car’s new E-Class range likeness, together with its unique features, such as an aggressive full body package and broader, more intentional posture. Prototypes of the E-Class have been tested by Mercedes and the engineers of its in-house tuner AMG to the extent that they have even recruited Mika Häkkinen, the former McLaren F1 ace and race driver Klaus Ludwig to fine-tune the car. 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG teased ahead of its debut

2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMGAlthough we don’t like teasers at all, we had to show you this… Mercedes-Benz decided to tease us with their brand new E63 AMG, which looks amazing! But why this teaser? Well, Mercedes-Benz already won a price in Germany, as the 2009 Sports Car, although the vehicle was not released yet.

As you can see from the photo, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG continues the tradition of the German manufacturer and comes with a new bumper and 5-spoke alloy wheels but also features double twin exhaust system, a new rear apron and a small trunk spoiler.
