2010 Toyota Land CruiserOrders are now being taken for the all-new 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser, which has prices that range from £29,795 to £44,795. The Land Cruiser has built quite a reputation for itself due to its ability to take on the most extreme conditions from arid deserts to polar wastes. The Land Cruiser’s heritage spans about 60 years and no other brand can match its demonstrated toughness and durability.

The new Land Cruiser does not disappoint and is equipped with an array of new and advanced handling and driver assistance systems, which bring its off-road capabilities to new heights. Toyota engineers also made sure that driving on-road can be done with “greater poise, comfort and performance.” In the UK, the new Land Cruiser is offered as a five-door model powered by a revised 171bhp 3.0-litre D-4D engine, matched to a five-speed automatic transmission. Three equipment grades are offered – LC3, LC4 and LC5 – with seven seats fitted as standard on all but the entry-level version (on which third row seats are an option). Deliveries will begin in early December. Continued after the jump!

2010 Toyota Land CruiserBefore the official launch of the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser at the Frankfurt Motor Show, here are more details about the vehicle. Available exclusively in the UK, the vehicle has five doors and seven seats and will only have the option of one diesel engine – the 171bhp 3.0-litre D-4D, which will be mated to a five-speed auto’ ‘box.

Toyota claims that its new Land Cruiser is the most economic and most environmentally friendly in its class with recorded fuel economy of 34.9mpg and CO2 emissions of 214g/km. While the body-on-frame construction is from the old model, its rigidity has been increased by 11%. To improve ride comfort, insulating frame-to-body mounts have been added to absorb engine, drivetrain and road noise. More details and photos after the jump!
