Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition
Saturday, October 17th, 2009
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first Z car sold by Datsun, Nissan is planning to launch a special edition 370Z early next year. The first Z car was a 240Z and it was sold on October 22, 1969 in North America . The special commemorative 370Z is remarkable mainly because of its unique appearance.
Based upon a 370Z Touring with the sport package, the special 370Z will have a rubies theme, in reference to its 40th anniversary. The interior is trimmed with ruby red leather while the exterior will have red emblems and brake calipers. All 40th Anniversary 370Zs are painted in a special quartz color and fitted with tinted 19-inch Rays aluminum wheels. They also come with a special satin car cover. Dealers will get these cars next spring. Pricing has not been given yet but it’s expected to command a slight premium over the $38,160 price tag for a similar Touring with Sport Package.
