Dodge Circuit EV makes its debut in Detroit

A very attractive reveal at today’s Detroit Auto Show is the latest version of the electric vehicle signed by Dodge, the Dodge Circuit EV, a completely electric sports car with zero emissions and over 200 mile driving capacity with one charge. The new vehicle features a sporty design at the exterior given by the unique Dodge crosshair at the front and the deep scallops on the body sides.
“The Dodge Circuit EV offers an extremely fun-to-drive, expressive sports car without fuel consumption and with virtually no impact on the environment, said Ralph Gilles, Vice President – Design, Chrysler LLC. Featuring an all electric ENVI drivetrain, the car can reach 96km/h (60 mph) in less than 5 sec with a top speed of over 193 km/h (120 mph). The Dodge Circuit EV uses only three powertrain components : a 268 hp electric motor, an advanced lithium-ion battery system to power the electric-drive motor and a controller that manages energy flow. The vehicle has a range of 150-200 miles (approximately 241-322 km) and can be recharged using a a standard 110-volt household outlet (the recharge time can be cut in half by using a typical 220-volt household appliance power outlet.)At the interior is all about functionality and easy control for the driver. A very fine leather covers the seat, the center console and the width of the instrument. The car also features a digital display that shows information regarding the electric-drive system. The Dodge Circuit EV provides all of the convenience features of a performance sports car such as premium sound system, power windows and door locks, air conditioning, speed control.
