Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini not coming to the LA Auto Show
Monday, November 23rd, 2009
Due to the poor economy, premium automakers can’t be convinced to show their wares at the largest luxury market in the US. The upcoming 2009 Los Angeles Motor Show won’t have the usual displays of Bentleys, Ferraris and Lamborghinis. However, L.A. show organizers note that a few of their traditional high-line brands will maintain a presence at Staples Center, along with several new luxury participants. Dave Reuter, Bentley’s chief US spokesman, confirmed that Bentley won’t be present in the L.A. Show. Reuter added that at this time when carmakers are cutting their budgets, Bentley just wants a “better use” of its resources. A Ferrari official shares Bentley’s reasons. The official said that the brand along with Maserati have chosen to pull out of Concours Hall, the prominent section of the convention center where most luxury brands are positioned.
