Second in a new Special Projects programme created by Ferrari to meet requests from the most discerning clients and collectors to create truly unique models, the new vehicle is based on the 599 GTB Fiorano (also make sure you check the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano China Limited Edition) and was inspired by a Carrozzeria Fantuzzi-designed Ferrari built specifically for the 1968 Fellini film, Toby Dammit. Friday, November 27th, 2009

Ferrari F70To be hailed as the “ultimate, most advanced road car Ferrari has ever made” sounds ambitious but wait until you learn what the car, initially codenamed F70, has up its sleeve.

Compared to the Enzo, the F70 is faster, more focused, smaller, lighter, and more fuel-efficient. There’s speculation that powering the vehicle is a twin-turbo V8. Ferrari working on a new kind of door opening

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

Ferrari Door PatentIf you’ve been complaining about the difficulty in getting out of a low-slung sportscar, then you’ll be glad to know that Ferrari has invented a new kind of door that improves passenger and driver access to its cars.

A patent application has been filed for a door that includes part of the front wing and hinges upward, so that when it’s opened the occupant can place their foot directly behind the front wheel. The design is especially suited for mid-engined cars but it’s suitable as well for front, mid or rear-engined cars. Ferrari claims that compared to gullwing doors, the system is easier and more cost-effective to make. Photo gallery after the jump!
