Hyundai Genesis Coupe to make its U.K. debut by the end of the year

2010 Hyundai Genesis CoupeHyundai has confirmed that the rear-drive Genesis Coupe will be built in right-hand drive and will arrive in the UK towards the end of 2010. The coupe is based on the Genesis saloon, which will be built in right-hand drive as well; however, it will not come to the UK. Rather, it will be sold only in Australia, Japan and South Africa. The engine choices vary for Hyundai Europe and Hyundai UK. Europe is reported to prefer a four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbo, while the UK has a liking for a V6. Continued after the jump!

Hyundai introduces new high-performance V6 Lambda RS engine

Hyundai V6 Lambda RS engineHyundai introduced today its new high-performance V6 Lambda (λ) RS (Rear wheel drive Sports) engine. The new power plant will make its officially debut on the Genesis Coupe which is going to be launched in Korea this month.

Based on the first Lambda engine introduces four years ago, in 2004, the RS edition of the power plant features new key modifications which increased the power to a maximum 310 hp and peak torque to 36.8kg/m@4700rpm.

The Genesis Coupe will be based on the same rear wheel drive architecture as the Genesis sedan and represents one of the seven vehicles that Hyundai is planning to introduce until 2010. Photo gallery after the jump!
