Bmw delays the U.S. debut of the redesigned X3 Crossover

2010 Bmw X3According to the latest reports from Autoweek, it appears that Bmw is delaying the U.S. introduction of the new X3. This will happen due to the fact that the Bavarian manufacturer wants to introduce a new system which will encourage buyers to custom-order the crossover to their specific needs.

This means that the delay will bring the redesigned Bmw X3 in U.S. showrooms in mid-2011, up to six months after the U.S.-built X3 will go on sale in Europe. But, there are some advantages though: when it will be launched, the crossover will carry up to four engine variants that could include a four-cylinder gasoline and diesel, said Bmw CEO, Jim O’Donnell.
