Protoscar Lampo 2For those who don’t know, Lampo 2 is an electric demonstration sports car developed by Swedish manufacturer Protoscar.

Comparing it to the first version unveiled back in 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show, the new version has been further optimized in order to reach a world-class energy consumption of less than 100Wh/km-ton under real conditions. Also, according to the manufacturer, the Lampo 2 comes with “quick-charging” capability (up to 100 km range extension in just 10 minutes charging time). Continued after the jump!

Geneva Preview: Protoscar LAMPO 2

Friday, December 25th, 2009

Protoscar Lampo 2Protoscar has a new concept, the Protoscar LAMPO 2, which it will debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show on March 2. Two electric motors, one for each axle, power the Protoscar LAMPO 2, enabling it to have four-wheel drive with variable torque between the axles.

A 30 kWh Lithium-Ion battery is attached to the engine of the Protoscar LAMPO 2, letting it achieve an output of 260 kW (350 hp) and 600 Nm of torque. With this powertrain, the Protoscar LAMPO 2 can reach 100 km/h in 5 seconds and get to a top speed of more than 200 km/h and a range of around 200 km. There are four ways to recharge this vehicle. One is the DC fast charging that can give it 100 km of additional range with just 10 minutes plug-in time. For those who don’t know, the first Protoscar LAMPO was revealed this year, at the Geneva Motor Show. You can check it here! Photo gallery after the jump!
