Toyota Surfrider Camry Hybrid CNG unveiled at the SEMA Show

Besides the Toyota Prius Aerius and Aemulus, Toyota/Billabong Ultimate Venza Concept and the Tundra Hot Rod, this year’s SEMA Show will also see the Surfrider Camry Hybrid CNG. For this new project Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) U.S.A., Inc. has partnered with Surfrider Foundation to create a specially modified Camry Hybrid fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG), in order to reflect Toyota’s involvement with environmental awareness. The CNG system was built by Metal Crafters of Fountain Valley and to convert the stock Camry Hybrid to a CNG vehicle, the gasoline system was replaced with a compressed natural gas system which was installed in the spare tire well area.
