Tata Motors recently named former General Motors Co. executive Carl-Peter Forster as group CEO. Forster, 55, will be the man responsible for the global operations and this include automaker's Jaguar Land Rover units. For those who don´t know, Forster stepped down as GM Europe president and Opel/Vauxhall chairman in November 2009 after he criticized GM for reversing a decision to sell Opel to Canadian supplier Magna International Inc. and their Russian partners Sberbank. Forster joined GM back in 2001 and before that he worked for Bmw for 13 years.
