A report by the Business Standard newspaper announced that Tata and Indian rival Mahindra & Mahindra have expressed interest in taking over Fiat's Termini Imerese plant in Sicily. Fiat declared that the Termini Imerese plant will halt production of the Lancia Ypsilon by 2011. However, it has yet to be revealed what will be replacing it. In India, Tata Motors and Fiat have a joint venture, which makes models such as the Palio, Linea and Grande Punto.
