Tata Nano passes the European crash tests

Tata Nano managed to pass the European tests for front and side impact standard crash at the MIRA centre and received the green light from an inspector from Britain‚ Vehicle Certification Authority and various journalists who were invited at the test.
The cheapest economic vehicle endured tests such as a 56km/h frontal impact and a 40% offset, both tests that don’t exista yet in India, the single distribution market for Nano at the moment. The company is very confident that Nano will rate a good score also at the NCAP tests when it will be submitted. Tata is planning to develop in the next 3 years a 'Westernised' version of the Nano to be released in the European and the USA markets. Photo gallery after the jump!
