It is reported that Tesla Motors has joined the Big 3 in appealing for bailout from the US government. The electric car brand from the Silicon Valley is reported to have appealed for $400 million from the energy department to finance two projects, the details of which have not been revealed. The Big 3 are requesting for a share of government bailout in the amount of $25 billion. The soft loans are intended to fund technology for the eco-safe cars of the future for the three automakers.
