Tesla opens its third showroom in New York

Electric sports car maker Tesla is opening its third showroom in New York, after California and London. Tesla confirms that more stores are planned across the country and around the globe as it expands the business. Tesla claims that Roadster is performing strongly, after having delivered over 500 cars to customers, while its Model S saloon will be following the same route in 2011. Daimler had recently acquired a 9.1% share of Tesla and sold 4% of this stake to Aabar Investments, allowing these two firms to leverage their shared interest to develop low CO2 drive systems.
