Tesla is finally provided some real high-resolution images of the Roadster Sport, which is actually a higher performing version of its standard electric sportscar. Seven months ago, Tesla announced its plans to manufacture the Roadster Sport. Today, we hear about what makes the $20,000 price increase worth it. First, the Sport's hand-wound electric motor makes the car go from 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds. The car also has bare carbon fiber hood louvers and rear spoiler, a push-button transmission selector to replace the aluminum shift knob and a central touch screen that displays estimated range along with the total number of oil barrels saved over a fossil-fueled automobile.
