TH!NK City, the electric car for everyday use

Think Electric City CarUK Government is aiming for a near future of exclusively eco friendly vehicles on the public roads and they recently organized a “catwalk” on Downing Street to show some possible solutions for completely electric cars. The star of the presentation was the new TH!NK city, an all-electric car which will hit the UK market starting with 2009. The new model reveals a modern urban design and a body kit made of recyclable ABS plastic, projected to resist any kind of scratches. The car can drive over 112 miles (180 km) with one battery charge in city, it reaches 48 km/h in 6.5 sec with a top speed of 104 km/h or 64 mph (we don't know how fast the sprint from 0-100 km/h is but taking in consideration is almost the top speed we don't want to think about it! ). TH!NK city features ABS brakes, airbags and three-point safety belts with pretensioners meeting all safety criteria. The biggest advantage of the new zero emissions car is that the costs of maintaining are very low, it is a silent drive, has no road tax or congestion charge. More photos after the jump!
